BLACK GARNET
The Garnets are a complex group of minerals all with similar crystalline structures but varying greatly in chemical composition and properties. All Garnets fall into six basic varieties: Almandine, Andradite, Grossular, Pyrope, Spessartine and Uvarovite or a combination of two or more. Black Garnet or Melanite is the opaque Black variety of Andradite garnet. Andradite is one of the rarest garnet varieties. The black color is due to the inclusion of titanium. Associated with the Root, Heart and Solar Plexus Chakras, it is known as a spiritual stone of higher thinking and self-empowerment.
